You will be accountable for core clinical operations capabilities, including study planning and execution, vendor oversight, clinical trial supply interfaces, operational excellence, and compliance with GCP and regulatory standards. You will help driving change in how we run clinical trials to ensure LEO delivers on our vision to deliver new medicines to patients with great unmet need and be the preferred partner in dermatology. Our pipeline covers programs from early stage to launch and includes a growing pipeline in rare disease. The role includes leadership of an outsourced operating model, with flexibility to deploy alternative models where needed, and requires close collaboration across a global matrix organization. Reporting to the Vice President, Head of Global Clinical Development, you will be a significant contributor to the Global Clinical Development Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for global Clinical Operations across the full clinical development value chain, from early development through late-stage studies and close-out.
  • Lead and strengthen key capabilities including study planning and execution, vendor strategy and oversight, clinical trial supply interfaces, risk-based trial management, and operational excellence.
  • Drive and evolve the outsourced clinical operations model in collaboration with Clinical Partnership Management, while ensuring effective governance, quality oversight, and scalability.
  • Build and develop a high-performing global Clinical Operations organization, with strong focus on leadership, talent development, accountability, change management and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure inspection readiness, compliance with GCP and regulatory requirements, ownership of the Global Clinical Development QMR, and contribution to portfolio planning, budget oversight, and resource allocation.

Your qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field.
  • Significant leadership experience in global clinical operations within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, preferably within dermatology and rare disease experience is a plus.
  • Proven experience leading clinical operations across the full value chain of clinical development.
  • Strong experience with outsourced clinical trial delivery models, including vendor governance and partner oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of GCP, GMP, ICH guidelines, and global regulatory requirements, combined with fluency in English.

Your new team

You will join Clinical Operations within Global Clinical Development and report directly to the Vice President, Head of Global Clinical Development. The function plays a central role in planning and delivering clinical trials across the LEO portfolio and works closely with Regulatory, Global Patient Safety, Corporate Quality, CMC, Finance, Clinical Partnership Management, and external clinical partners. As part of the Global Clinical Development Leadership Team, you will help shape the future direction of the organization while leading a globally connected and high-impact function.
