Jobbeskrivelse

At BlinkTroll, we’re building next-generation training systems and defense technology used by military and police forces across Europe. Our mission is simple but urgent: to support the defenders of the free world with powerful, practical, and life-saving technology.

We’re currently looking for an Embedded Systems Engineer to join our R&D team, someone with strong experience in firmware development for STM32 microcontrollers, real-time digital signal processing, and embedded system integration. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work on advanced, performance-critical systems in a small, ambitious, and purpose-driven startup.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain embedded firmware in C for STM32 microcontrollers.
  • Implement real-time DSP algorithms and perform advanced signal analysis.
  • Work closely with electronics, software, and mechanical engineers to deliver fully integrated systems.
  • Design and integrate communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C, CAN).
  • Support system bring-up, debugging, and optimization in both lab and field conditions.
  • Contribute to documentation, testing procedures, and continuous improvement of embedded systems.
  • Participate in PCB design reviews and collaborate on hardware–software integration.
  • (Nice to have) Assist with low-power design, FPGA/DSP module integration, and C++.

Who You Are

  • 2–4 years of professional experience in embedded software engineering (or equivalent skill level).
  • Strong proficiency in Embedded C for MCU platforms.
  • Experienced with STM32 microcontrollers.
  • Solid understanding of real-time signal processing concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with communication protocols (UART, SPI, I²C, CAN).
  • Practical experience with PCB design or PCB design reviews.
  • You thrive in fast-moving, high-responsibility environments where your work directly impacts outcomes.
  • Based in or near Odense, or willing to work on-site most of the time.
  • Curious, reliable, and motivated to contribute to a mission-driven team.

What We Offer

  • A meaningful mission and real-world impact.
  • A hands-on, collaborative office in the heart of Odense’s robotics and defense ecosystem.
  • A voice in product and technical direction from day one.
  • Flexible hours (we’re office-first, but life happens).
  • Strong team culture.
  • Room to grow with the company.

Note: This position requires eligibility for security clearance.
