Club Leader

Jobbeskrivelse
Are you passionate about giving children and families in vulnerable positions good experiences, and do you like to lead projects? Then you are exactly what we are looking for at Save the Children's family experience club in Slagelse!
Right now we are looking for another club leader for our family experience club in Slagelse. The clubs are our largest voluntary social effort in Denmark, where parents and children aged 5-12 can make new friends, be included in a safe community and have a lot of positive experiences with the other children and families - and not least with our fantastic volunteer group. As our new club leader, you will collaborate and share leadership responsibility with another club leader, so you will not be alone with the task.
A little about our local association and the Family Experience Club:
Save the Children Slagelse consists of a dedicated board and a committed team of volunteers who together run local activities for children and families. We work to create safe communities for children and families in our local area – and we have fun while we do it!
In our family experience club, we are both volunteers and families who meet approximately once a month for shared experiences in the local area. The club is a safe and inclusive community, which provides the framework for, for example, picnics, fishing trips, creative activities and celebrations of holidays such as Shrove Tuesday and Easter. The activities are held approximately 10 times a year, typically on a Saturday or Sunday and last approximately 3-4 hours. We have a really good community, but we are missing a committed leader who wants to strengthen our club even more.
As a fellow club leader, you will be the driving force behind:
- Lead and plan the activities in the family adventure club and motivate the volunteers
- Ensure a fun, safe and inclusive volunteer community
- Meet children and families at eye level and have an eye for involvement
- Is ready to handle administrative tasks related to running the club
- Participates in regular planning meetings once a month
- Have an idea that you would like to volunteer for at least 1 year, so that we ensure a sustainable activity for the volunteers and the families
We offer you:
- A meaningful volunteer job where you can see how much of a difference your efforts make for children and families
- Opportunity to use and develop your leadership skills – you don't need to have leadership experience. The most important thing is that you have the desire and courage to learn!
- Competence-supporting courses and guidance and sparring from the local council and Save the Children's secretariat.
- A place in a meaningful community and the world's largest independent children's rights organization
- The joy of making a difference for local children and families
