As our new Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in expanding DEIF's presence within the Renewable Energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Microgrid, Hybrid Power, and Energy Management markets.

You will identify and develop new business opportunities, establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, and work closely with customers to understand their operational challenges and recommend DEIF's intelligent control, automation, and energy management solutions.

Working collaboratively with Regional Leadership, Product Management, Technical Support, and Sales teams, you will contribute to DEIF's ambitious growth strategy while helping customers transition towards smarter and more sustainable power systems.

This position reports to the Managing Director / Vice President – Region and requires regular travel across the assigned territory.

Working Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Drive business development initiatives within the Renewable Energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Hybrid Power, and Energy Management sectors.
  • Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities across assigned territories and strategic customer segments.
  • Develop relationships with EPC contractors, renewable energy developers, BESS integrators, battery manufacturers, utilities, consultants, OEMs, panel builders, and industrial customers.
  • Promote DEIF's intelligent control solutions for renewable energy integration, hybrid power plants, microgrids, and Battery Energy Storage applications.
  • Execute business development strategies aligned with DEIF's regional growth objectives.
  • Lead commercial discussions and negotiate contracts with customers and strategic partners.
  • Collaborate with the Managing Director and Regional Leadership to identify emerging market opportunities and support regional sales initiatives.
  • Gather customer insights and market intelligence, providing valuable feedback to Product Management and Strategic Business Development teams.
  • Recommend new product features and application opportunities based on customer and market requirements.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, business development plans, and market analyses.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, opportunities, and sales activities within the CRM system.
  • Conduct customer presentations, product demonstrations, technical seminars, and industry workshops.
  • Represent DEIF at industry conferences, exhibitions, and renewable energy forums.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Product Management, Service & Support, and Operations teams to ensure successful customer engagement and project execution.
  • Promote continuous improvement by identifying market trends, customer requirements, and opportunities for innovation.
  • Ensure compliance with DEIF's Global Safety Policy and Quality Management System.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–7 years of successful experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, or Sales within the Renewable Energy, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Power Management, Industrial Automation, or Electrical industry.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
    • Energy Management Systems (EMS)
    • SCADA Systems
    • Renewable Energy integration
    • Solar Power Plants
    • Hybrid Power Systems
    • Microgrids
    • Power Management Systems
  • Good understanding of the Renewable Energy ecosystem, including customers, applications, market trends, and commercial drivers.
  • Experience engaging with EPC contractors, Renewable Energy Developers, Utilities, Battery Manufacturers, Consultants, OEMs, and Industrial Customers.
  • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities and successfully manage the complete business development lifecycle.
  • Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with CRM systems.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in Renewable Energy, Energy Storage, Power Automation, or Industrial Controls will be highly preferred.
