Efektive is building Denmark’s next-generation freelance platform. We are challenging the consulting industry by creating a transparent, fair, and scalable ecosystem where freelancers gain real freedom, and companies can access top talent without expensive intermediaries.

We are already live in alpha, with 300+ freelancers onboarded and a marketing reach of 500,000+ people. Our ambition is to become the leading freelance platform in Denmark and later across Scandinavia.

Your Role At Efektive

We are looking for a hands-on fullstack engineer who wants to take the lead as our future CTO & Co-founder. This role is coding-heavy from day one, while also setting the foundation for our long-term technical direction

• Design, build, and ship features in both frontend and backend yourself.
• Take ownership of the architecture and infrastructure - while coding alongside the team.
• Lead by example in the codebase before building and mentoring a dev team.
• Build new features, APIs, and integrations that strengthen our platform.
• Own and manage our cloud infrastructure, promoting a DevOps culture of automation, monitoring, and proactive maintenance.
• Ensure the platform is robust, secure, and ready to scale across borders.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership team to align product and technology with commercial priorities.
• Act as a technical spokesperson in customer, partner, and investor engagements.

The Candidate We Are Looking For

• Experienced Engineer: 5+ years in software development, with at least 1 year in a senior role such as Tech Lead, CTO, or similar.
• Hands-On Leader: Strong coding skills in both frontend and backend, able to set the standard by building alongside the team.
• Fullstack Developer First: Strong hands-on coding skills in both frontend and backend, with experience building real products end-to-end. Comfortable designing architecture while still writing production code daily.
• Product-Minded: Can think beyond code, understands user needs and market requirements, and contributes actively to product direction.
• Curious And Pragmatic: Not afraid to challenge our current stack when better solutions exist.
• People-Focused: Proven ability to recruit, mentor, and inspire developers while shaping culture.
• Strong Communicator: Able to translate technical concepts into clear business value for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Startup Mentality: Thrives in a fast-moving environment where priorities shift, and is motivated by building from the ground up.
