Quality Excellence Specialist

As our Quality Excellence Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how GomSpace delivers high-quality space technology products at scale.

You will embed quality across the value chain, inspire teams to build reliability into every process, and collaborate with suppliers to translate our designs into world-class, mission-critical products. You will act decisively to prevent issues before they occur, empower teams to take ownership of quality, and create a lasting impact on the company as we grow.

Your Role

In this role, you will bridge internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring our space technology designs scale seamlessly into production. You will foster a proactive quality culture, guide teams to build reliability into every process, and drive continuous improvement. You will also translate internal knowledge into supplier excellence, ensuring our outsourcing partners consistently deliver to the high standards required for space applications.

Your tasks include:

• Leading supplier audits to ensure compliance, quality, and performance, with actionable recommendations
• Managing and verifying internal and supplier documentation, ensuring processes scale effectively
• Applying a risk-based inspection approach to prevent potential issues proactively
• Empowering teams to embed quality into daily operations and decision-making
• Driving Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and continuous improvement initiatives to enable scalable growth

(Note: This role focuses on leading initiatives and processes rather than formal people management.)

Success in this Role

In the initial phases, success looks like:

• Implementing supplier audits with clear, actionable insights
• Establishing scalable documentation and process standards across internal and external teams
• Engaging teams so that quality becomes a natural part of the daily workflow

Longer term, you’ll:

Integrate DFM principles into all processes, drive a culture of proactive quality, ensure supplier excellence, and lead initiatives that continuously improve reliability, efficiency, and product integrity for space technology as the company scales.

• Have a degree or strong experience in quality management, engineering, or a related field
• Are confident conducting audits and applying risk-based inspections
• Understand DFM principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Communicate clearly, inspire stakeholders, and thrive on building engagement
• Have a mindset for scaling operations quickly and effectively
