Jobbeskrivelse

Quality Manager, Harboes Bryggeri A/S

Do you want to head up quality and food safety at Harboe’s production site in Skælskør? Do you possess a strong professional background within QA/QC, and are you motivated by driving a proactive quality culture in close collaboration with production? Then you might be the one we are looking for.

About us

Harboes Bryggeri produces and sells beer, soft drinks, and malt- and fruit-based ingredients and beverages. Production takes place at our breweries in Skælskør and at the fully owned Darguner Brauerei in Germany. Both sites produce and package beverages in glass, cans, and PET, while Dargun also handles draught beer. Malt-based ingredients and concentrates are produced in Skælskør.

Quality and food safety are fundamental to everything we do. The Quality Department plays a key role in ensuring compliance, maintaining high standards, and safeguarding product quality from raw material to finished goods.

The position and Key responsibilities

As Quality Manager, you will have overall responsibility for leading Harboe’s Quality Department and ensuring the effective operation, maintenance, and continuous alignment of our quality management system.

You will become a part of the Group Quality Team and report directly to the Plant Director in Skælskør, with a dotted line reference to the Director, R&D, ESG and Quality.

Your primary focus will be to lead and develop our QA and QC teams while ensuring that our quality and food safety standards are consistently implemented and maintained across the organisation. Through visible leadership and close collaboration with production and other key stakeholders, you will ensure that quality remains an integral part of daily operations.

Building on our existing quality management system, you will drive systematic and continuous quality improvements. The role covers in-house products, ingredients, raw materials, packaging materials, and quality-related activities throughout production. You will ensure compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements while ensuring that the quality function supports customer expectations and operational needs.

Main focus areas include:

  • Leading and developing the Quality Department, including QA and QC teams, ensuring clear priorities, strong collaboration, and a high level of engagement.
  • Ensuring effective implementation and maintenance of the quality management system (IPW), including compliance with standards such as IFS and FSSC 22000.
  • Planning, conducting, and following up on internal and external audits, including training of the internal audit team in Skælskør.
  • Maintaining close cooperation with production, including handling of deviations, root cause analysis, and follow-up on corrective actions.
  • Ensuring professional handling of customer complaints, including documentation, investigation, and timely follow-up.
  • Ensuring compliance with food legislation, regulatory requirements, and quality standards, including communication and documentation.
  • Supporting supplier quality requirements, including hygiene standards and HACCP-based controls through training and monitoring.

"In Skælskør, we believe that world-class quality is built right on the production floor through strong relationships, transparency, and a shared mindset. As our new Quality Manager, you will not just be managing systems and compliance from an office—you will be a visible and motivating partner directly in our operations. If you are ready to take true ownership, inspire your team, and bridge the gap between regulatory standards and daily production practices, we can’t wait to welcome you on board."
