We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Risk Management team in Copenhagen. You will join our Risk Management team of 17 skilled colleagues with diverse backgrounds. Within the team, you will be part of a specialised unit of 3 colleagues focused on building and maintaining advanced analytical solutions.

As a Data Scientist, you will develop, design and enhance systems that support risk management, decarbonisation and finance in analysing market risks, monitoring and estimating emissions and regulation and projecting future cash flow and earnings. All solutions are developed internally and include:

  • Voyage analysis system – used for operational performance measurement.
  • Risk system – used to measure and monitor market, credit and liquidity risks.
  • Finance forecasting tools – supporting projections of cash flow, estimated results and more.

The tasks that await you

In this role, you will take on a broad range of responsibilities and enjoy the flexibility to shape your focus around your interests. Your core contributions will include tasks such as:

  • Migration of on-prem solutions to Azure Cloud.
  • Develop and maintain systems and source code.
  • Support risk analysts, voyage performance analysts and finance business partners with correct and timely updated systems.
  • Participate in projects within Risk Management and Finance.

What you bring

We are looking for a colleague who has:

  • About 2-3 years of experience as a Data Scientist, Developer or similar.
  • A degree in a relevant technical, economic, physics or mathematical field.
  • A keen interest in programming.
  • Experience with Azure Cloud.
  • Advanced English communication skills and eligibility to work in Denmark.

Further, you must be eligible to work in Denmark.

An approachable nature and problem-solving skills are also significant, as you will interact with a broad range of stakeholders. And you are open to exploring new approaches to our current methods.
