Modelling Director

Your new position

As Modelling Director in Clinical Pharmacometrics, you will lead the PK/PD modelling and simulation strategy and execution on selected projects in Zealand Pharma’s clinical portfolio. You will partner with clinical, biostatistics, and nonclinical stakeholders to ensure model informed decision making and optimal study design, analyses and communication to support development the next generation of therapies for patients living with obesity.

We offer exciting responsibilities:

• Develop and implement PK/PD models, model-based meta-analyses, and simulations for clinical projects in collaboration with diverse project teams
• Provide model-informed input to clinical development, including trial design, PK/PD sampling strategies, and dose selection
• Serve as PK/PD modelling and simulation expert for internal governance and for external and regulatory interactions for assigned projects
• Manage external collaborations incl. partnerships and CROs to deliver on project objectives
• Contribute to departmental strategy, development of modelling and simulation environment and implementation of innovative methods for high-impact modelling across the portfolio
• Ensure high quality, transparency, and compliance of modelling and simulation deliverables and documentation

Your profile

You thrive in a collaborative, fast-evolving environment and enjoy translating complex model-based evidence into clear recommendations for diverse stakeholders. You combine scientific rigor with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and build strong partnerships across functions to deliver impact for patients.

• PhD in PK/PD modelling or related field with extensive relevant experience in drug development across clinical phases 1–3
• Proficient in NONMEM and R, with strong PK/PD theory and hands-on modelling expertise
• Experienced in communicating model-based results for internal decision-making and external audiences
• Experienced in engaging with health authorities and responding to regulatory queries preferred
• Able to drive innovation and results in collaboration with diverse stakeholders in a complex organization.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken)

Your new team

Our Modelling & Simulation team is growing to match the increasing number of PK/PD modelling and simulation activities in Zealand Pharma from research to development. We deliver QSP, translational PK/PD, pop PK/PD, E-R and MBMA through modelling and simulation in Phoenix, R and NONMEM. We collaborate globally within Zealand Pharma and externally with top experts from our partners including Roche/Genentech and CROs. You will be reporting to the Head of Modelling and Simulation, and will be working closely with your team members, medical and clinical development, biostatistics, and nonclinical colleagues across projects.
