Become a Host at the Culture Café

Jobbeskrivelse
Who is SIND Aarhus?
SIND Aarhus is a local branch of SIND – the Danish Association for Mental Health.
We work for a society with more mental health in general and for inclusiveness and better conditions for people living with mental challenges and for relatives.
What is the Culture Café?
In the Culture Café we meet about our interest in different cultures from around the world.
The Culture Café is a cozy place to meet new people – many of them international – and learn about cultures from all over the world. For example, we have celebrated Lunar New Year, gone on Easter egg hunts, and shared memories from our home countries.
The cultural café takes place approximately once a month in the Folkehuset Møllestien at Grønnegade 10, 8000 Aarhus C.
It is free to join and everyone is welcome. We speak English to be able to include all nationalities.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for hosts who will be a permanent part of the host group and help make Potecaféen a safe and cozy community.
We need hosts who are:
- reliable and responsible
- empathetic and spacious
- understanding and listening
What should you do?
We start with a meeting of expectations, where we together determine your role, your areas of responsibility and the framework for how often you will be involved.
As a host of the cultural cafés you register for, you must arrive well in advance of the start of the Cultural Café to help set out snacks, drinks and dog toys and welcome the guests. In addition to participating in the Cultural Café occasionally, you must also participate in joint meetings with the other hosts as much as possible, typically a couple of times a year.
