Responsibilities and qualifications
Your overall focus will be to advance research at the intersection of streaming process mining, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, with the goal of developing real-time methods to detect and predict cyber threats. You will work closely with international collaborators, including Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), and with industrial partners, providing realistic case studies. The project offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both foundational research and practical applications.
- Develop methods for streaming process mining of large-scale event data
- Design algorithms for correlating low-level events into process-level attack models
- Contribute to joint framework development with TU/e on continual learning
- Collaborate with industry partners to test methods in real-world cybersecurity use cases
- Publish research in leading international journals and conferences
- Spend a mobility stay at TU/e in Eindhoven
- Participate in the research community at DTU Compute, including teaching and supervision activities
We are looking for you who have:
- Solid knowledge of process mining, continual learning, or cybersecurity
- Strong analytical and programming skills (e.g., Python, Java, or similar)
- Ability to work independently as well as in an international research team
- Excellent command of English, written and spoken.
You must have a two-year master's degree (120 ECTS points) or a similar degree with an academic level equivalent to a two-year master's degree.
Approval and Enrolment
The scholarship for the PhD degree is subject to academic approval, and the candidate will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes at DTU. For information about our enrolment requirements and the general planning of the PhD study programme, please see DTU's rules for the PhD education.

Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union. The period of employment is 3 years. Starting date is 1 January 2026 (or according to mutual agreement). The position is a full-time position.
