BIG has grown significantly in scale and complexity over the past years, and we are now looking for a Tax Manager to help strengthen and further professionalize our global finance function. Working closely with the Global Finance Director and CFO, this role will support BIG’s international growth by ensuring robust tax compliance, governance, reporting and advisory support across our global offices.

We are looking for a proactive and hands-on tax professional who is motivated by building structure, creating clarity and helping the organization navigate tax matters in an international and fast-moving environment. This is a role for someone who enjoys working across disciplines and countries, understands both the technical and practical sides of tax, and can translate complex tax topics into clear recommendations for the business.

The Tax Manager will report directly to the Global Finance Director and work closely with the global Finance team, Project Controlling, Legal and external advisors. The role will cover corporate tax, transfer pricing, VAT and other indirect taxes, tax reporting, compliance processes and ad hoc advisory support across BIG’s offices and subsidiaries.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Tax compliance and reporting: Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance across BIG’s entities, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, VAT and other relevant local tax obligations in collaboration with local finance teams and external advisors.
  • Transfer pricing: Support and maintain BIG’s transfer pricing setup, including documentation, intercompany agreements, policies and processes. Ensure alignment between transfer pricing, financial reporting and business operations.
  • Tax governance and controls: Develop and strengthen tax governance, internal controls and processes to support a more structured and scalable global finance function. Identify tax risks and recommend practical solutions.
  • Business partnering: Act as a trusted tax advisor to the CFO, Global Finance Director, Finance team at large as well as the local leadership on tax-related matters, including international projects, contracts, intercompany flows, permanent establishment considerations and cross-border activities.
  • VAT and indirect taxes: Support the organization with VAT and indirect tax matters, including cross-border transactions, invoicing flows, project-related tax questions and local compliance requirements.
  • Tax audits and external advisors: Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors, and support tax audits, inquiries and reviews from local tax authorities.
  • Process improvement and digitalization: Contribute to the development of smarter and more efficient tax processes through improved systems, data quality, automation and digital tools.
  • Ad hoc tax support: Support the Global Finance Director and CFO with ad hoc tax analyses, risk assessments, reporting requirements and strategic finance initiatives.

The ideal candidate:

To be able to perform this job successfully, it is a prerequisite that you have strong tax, accounting and analytical skills, as well as a solution-oriented and service-minded approach to the challenges you face. You are structured, detail-oriented and able to work independently while also collaborating closely with colleagues across countries and disciplines.
You have strong communication skills and can explain complex tax matters in a clear and practical way to non-tax specialists. You are fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Danish language skills are an advantage.
You have experience from an international company, audit firm, tax advisory firm or similar environment, and you are comfortable working with corporate tax, VAT and transfer pricing. You thrive in a role where you are both hands-on with day-to-day tasks and able to contribute to strategic improvements.
You have solid Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems. You have a relevant education such as Cand.merc.aud., Cand.merc.jur., MSc in Business Administration, law, tax or similar. We expect you to have a minimum of 5–7 years of relevant tax experience.
Business travel between our international offices will occur.
