Software Architect that wants to take the lead
Jobbeskrivelse
Are you fluent in designing distributed systems and skilled at creating business-focused solutions using modern architecture? Do you enjoy sharing knowledge, facilitating workshops, and helping teams reach engineering excellence? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you.
Danske Bank’s IT landscape is evolving towards distributed systems, leveraging public cloud platforms. We are transitioning banking capabilities to the cloud, exposing functionality and data as APIs and events. By applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD), we decompose systems to build business-focused applications.
As part of the Integration & Adoption Tribe within the Tech Innovation & Foundation organisation, your role will be to accelerate the bank’s API and event-driven architecture on our modernisation journey.
If you have not yet worked as an architect but are interested in growing into a leadership role, we still encourage you to apply. Instead of a traditional cover letter, please submit a short blog (maximum one page) about why Test-Driven Development (TDD) is important. Additionally, include a concise CV outlining your educational background and experience as a software engineer and architect.
"Be yourself. We like it that way."
You will:
- Facilitate domain discovery and DDD workshops with development teams across the organisation
- Design solution architectures in collaboration with developers and product owners
- Contribute to the architect chapter by defining and documenting patterns and standards for APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Educate and inspire developers through talks, workshops, and reusable resources
- Support the migration of applications to cloud-native architectures, leveraging AWS and other public cloud platforms
About you:
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, including participating in designing solutions
- Deep knowledge of DDD, microservice architecture, REST APIs, and/or event-driven designs
- Hands-on experience with AWS (or other public cloud platforms), .NET/C# or Java
- Experience in migrating applications to cloud-native architectures is highly valued
- Advanced communication skills in English, with the ability to facilitate workshops, deliver talks, and collaborate across distributed teams
We offer:
This position can be located both in Denmark and Lithuania.
If the position is located in Lithuania, the salary range will be from 5600 EUR to 8400 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
Additionally, each Danske Bank employee receives employee benefits package which includes:
- Growth opportunities: professional & supportive team, e-learnings, numerous development programs; (incl. professional certificates); 100+ professions for internal mobility opportunities.
