Core Responsibilities

  • Data Cleaning and Preprocessing: Prepare and transform collected data for visualization and analysis, ensuring effective dimensional reduction to minimize impact.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with engineers and production teams to improve additive manufacturing processes using data-driven insights to improve stability, quality, and development cycles.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control algorithms and anomaly detection methods to monitor the additive manufacturing process and identify defects.
  • Predictive Modeling: Develop models to predict process quality, potential defects, and maintenance schedules using statistical analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Communication and Visualization: Effectively communicate findings through data visualization and reports to multi-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify root causes of manufacturing issues by analyzing historical data to support continuous improvement.
  • Capabilities Building: Help enhance data science skills and expertise within the LEGO Group to support the growth of the additive manufacturing program.
  • Data Collection: Assist in establishing data extraction methods to capture information from different sources, including sensor data and quality control measurements.

Join the Additive Design & Manufacturing (AD&M) team at LEGO Group, focused on advancing additive manufacturing technologies. Our department emphasizes research and development in design methodologies, production technologies, and materials, primarily targeting polymer AM production. We aim to drive the AM industry towards large-scale manufacturing.

You will be part of the AD&M Technology Maturing & Analytics team, working to bring promising AM technologies to high maturity for industrial implementation. Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and manufacturing technicians to optimize processes, enhance material properties, and ensure reliable performance. Your contributions will also include documentation, quality control, and knowledge transfer to integrate AM technologies into production effectively.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proficient in Data Analysis and Statistics: Proven experience in data analysis, modeling, and statistical methods.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze, interpret, and visualize data for meaningful insights.
  • Data Visualization Expertise: Skilled in data visualization tools like Power BI and programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Experience with Cloud Services: Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure, and data engineering tools like Databricks.
  • Solid Understanding of Data Infrastructures: Familiarity with various data infrastructures and effective data extraction methods.
  • Collaborative Teammate: Dedicated to success in a dynamic environment through teamwork.
  • Highly Organized and Proactive: Structured, dedicated, and independent in task management.
  • Outstanding Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with excellent organizational skills.
