Project Managers for Quantum DTU

Technical University of Denmark (DTU)
Kgs. Lyngby, 2800

Jobbeskrivelse

Jobbeskrivelse

Do you want to help shape Denmark’s role in the quantum revolution? Quantum DTU is the Technical University of Denmark’s cross-disciplinary initiative to unite world-class research, advanced infrastructure, education, and industrial collaboration in quantum technologies. By connecting researchers across departments, we are building a strong foundation for DTU to become a leading European hub for quantum science and innovation.

The job

As Project Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Quantum DTU to ensure the successful coordination and execution of Quantum DTU’s strategic activities. Your role spans research, innovation, education, and stakeholder engagement—both within DTU and externally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Project and Initiative Coordination: Lead and support national and European quantum projects, proposals, and collaborations, including managing timelines, deliverables, and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with DTU researchers, industry partners, policy stakeholders, and European networks.
  • Strategic Support and Implementation: Contribute to implementing Quantum DTU’s strategy and shaping initiatives that strengthen Denmark’s and the Nordic region’s position in the global quantum ecosystem.
  • Communication and Outreach: Drive visibility through effective communication, event planning, outreach, and a regular newsletter that shares updates, opportunities, and activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Serve as the central point of contact across DTU departments and research groups to align activities, facilitate knowledge sharing, and map internal and external ecosystem stakeholders.
  • Workshops and Delegations: Plan and execute workshops, networking events, and delegation visits to foster collaboration between academia, industry, and government.
  • Presentation and Reporting: Prepare high-quality reports, briefings, and presentations for management, partners, and funding bodies.

Our expectations of you

We are seeking candidates who thrive at the intersection of science, innovation, and strategy. You should have:

  • A Master’s degree or higher in science engineering, or a related field (background in physics, quantum, or technology management is an advantage).
  • Experience in managing complex projects, preferably in research, innovation, or international collaborations.
  • Knowledge of EU research and innovation programs (Horizon Europe, Digital Europe, EuroHPC) is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills in English (Danish is an advantage, but not required).
  • The ability to work independently, navigate complexity, and turn ideas into concrete results.

What we offer in return

At Quantum DTU, you will be part of a vibrant, international, and interdisciplinary environment. We offer:

  • An exciting role at the forefront of quantum technology development.
  • A collaborative and innovative atmosphere with world-class researchers.
  • The opportunity to help shape projects that make real impact across science, industry, and society.
  • Flexible working conditions and a strong focus on professional development.
  • A central role in shaping Denmark’s and Europe’s future in quantum technologies.
